At Nature Space, we’re serving up four shuck-tacular oyster adventures — from kayaking an active oyster lease to slurping briny beauties on a secluded beach (or right here on land).

Oysters On the Beach
Grab a paddle and join Jarrod, past oyster biologist for PEI and International Shellfish Festival judge, for an oyster-tasting adventure like no other! Glide to a hidden beach, nibble on fresh, locally sourced oysters, and learn a few tricks from Jarrod. This unforgettable Farm-to-Table experience takes you gliding over an active oyster farm, where you’ll learn how these remarkable shellfish are grown, harvested, and cared for in our pristine coastal waters. With decades of hands-on expertise, Jarrod brings science, storytelling, and salty humor together for a tour that’s as fascinating as it is fun. You’ll taste oysters fresh from the sea, try your hand at shucking, and gain a whole new appreciation for this iconic Island delicacy.

Two ecosystems. Two expert guides. One wildly good experience. Begin on land at Nature Space Resort, where Jarrod hosts Oysters 101 on the Hive patio. It’s hands-on, delicious, and packed with insider insight — how oysters grow, why PEI is famous for them, and how to shuck like you mean it. Then hit the water with Heather to explore the calm waters of St. Peter's lake, where salt and fresh waters mingle. Wildlife, big skies, and fascinating coastal ecology included - brought to life through story and science. Briny flavour. Coastal wonder. Pure fun.

Interested in learning about how oysters are grown and fished on PEI? Our Oysters 101 is the perfect experience for those looking for a land based educational culinary experience where you will learn about oysters from the past Provincial Oyster Biologist in PEI and you will even have a chance to learn how to shuck and how to prepare oysters 3-ways!
