Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is between 4pm and 7pm If you need a late check-in, please contact us to make arrangements If you’d like to request an early check-in, you can contact us to see if this might be possible Check-out is anytime before 11am

Off-site Visitors & Guest Transfers

Only registered guests are allowed on the property. No off-site visitors are allowed. We highly value the privacy of other guests. Exemptions may apply for special circumstances if notified in advance and approved by staff. We do not allow “transfer in” of other guests. If you book a stay for a group of people, this is the group of people that are reserved for the duration of the stay. Their spots cannot be traded to other guests mid-way through the stay. It’s too hard on the property and the tranquility of other guests to have large groups transferring people in and out of their reservation.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours start after 11pm until 8am. We are in a rural area and sound travels to our neighbours. It gets amazingly quiet here at night and we invite our guests to enjoy that tranquility.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in any of our indoor spaces. Due to our close proximity to the forest and the high risk for forest fires, this is a non-smoking property. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Minimum Stay Duration

Our minimum stay is two nights throughout most of the year and three nights in the busy summer months. We do not offer one-night stays. We receive many requests for one night stays; however, the cleaning and maintenance requirements for the yurts and hot tubs make it impossible for us to offer one night options. For those who want to stay but simply only have one-night availability, we can occasionally make exceptions for extenuating circumstances with an additional charge of $100 for cleaning/maintenance for a one-night stay. This is not available in the busy summer months, and our 3-night stay policy is firm from weekend before Canada Day through to the Labour Day weekend.

Accommodation Capacity

Our authentic Mongolian Yurts and Eagle's Nest Loft have a maximum capacity of 4 when kids are part of the group and there is a maximum of 3 adults in any of these units. The listed prices are for 2 adults and if a 3rd adult is added there is an additional fee of $25/nt. The GlowBug Cottage is a maximum of 6 people. The listed price is for 4 and there is an additional fee of $25/nt per person (up to the maximum of 6).

Pets

Our Blue Jay Yurt and Glowbug cottage are pet friendly. Additional fees apply ($50/dog/stay, which includes cleaning fees and our Doggy Staycation Package). We do everything possible to make your furry family members feel at home, and as part of the Doffy Staycation Package provide dog beds, water/food bowls, and even provide homemade dog treats.

Damages

We require a $200 credit card deposit upon check-in for incidentals. We reserve the right to refuse anyone and will not be held responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money/jewelry or valuables of any kind. Any damage to the cabin/yurts and or the property’s fixtures/ fittings and furnishings will be the responsibility of the Customer and will be charged accordingly. Additionally, fireworks are not permitted on-site.

Deposit, Cancellation & Group Policies

Cancellation Policy

Reservations can be canceled with a full refund minus an administration fee to cover banking charges and admin work of $40+tax. All fees are non-refundable if canceled within 14 days of your booking. Date changes can be made up to 30 days prior to your stay with no penalty, or up to 14 days prior to your arrival with a $40 change fee. Changes cannot be made within 14 days prior to your stay, as this does not allow enough time to find replacement guests.

Deposit Requirements

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. In certain circumstances we will accept a booking deposit, instead of full payment. If you’d prefer the deposit option, please contact us as we will need to generate an invoice for you outside of the website booking system. For deposits, a 50% deposit is at time of booking. The remaining amount is due 14 days prior to arrival.

Music Events & Day Workshops

Music events and day workshops are non-refundable tickets. If you are unable to attend please feel free to transfer your ticket to another party. You will need to notify us so that we can welcome the new guests.

Group Reservations

For reservations of large groups involving 3 or more spaces (combination of Yurts, Eagle's Nest Loft or Glowbug cottage) we will require 30 days notice to cancel or change the booking. A $40+tax cancellation fee applies to each space booked. Cancellations or changes inside 30 days prior to arrival are non-refundable.

Inclement Weather Policy

We appreciate that weather can be challenging and unpredictable; however, weather conditions do not negate the cancellation policies. For extreme weather events, where we as owners deem it to be unsafe to operate the resort, we reserve the right to cancel bookings and fully refund guests without penalty. This clause is completely at the discretion of the owners/operators of Nature Space, and we weigh a variety of factors prior to making this decision. In general this is reserved for extreme weather conditions and rarely is used (for example, in 2022 we only closed our facilities for Hurricane Fiona). This also applies to music events, workshops and wellness retreats. We will always work with guests around winter storms by offering early check-ins or late check-outs. If you are nervous about winter weather conditions we recommend that you use travel insurance or join us during another season! This policy has worked well and most guests are able to make slight alterations to their arrival time to enjoy the beauty of winter!

Wellness Retreats

We are proud to feature wellness events, retreats and experiences. We appreciate that challenging circumstances can arise from time-to-time that require participants to have to cancel their plans. We have attempted to create a compassionate cancellation policy that considers the needs of our participants as well as our ability to run retreats/events. Organizing and hosting wellness retreats requires significant time and effort, a financial commitment to our co-facilitators and workshop hosts, as well as the requirement to plan and purchase food and supplies. Cancellations can be challenging and can jeopardize the ability for us to run retreats in future. For this reason, at the time of booking the entire retreat fee is due. When a cancellation is necessary with more than 30 days notice, the retreat fees are refundable with the exception of the $100 per person deposit. A retreat participant who becomes ill or is otherwise unable to attend within the 30 days (e.g. personal or family) is able to transfer their retreat booking to another participant. This clause applies to COVID-19. We do keep an active waiting list for each retreat and in the event that we can find a replacement for you, we would refund your fees minus the $100. If we are unable to fill your space and you are unable to find a replacement, there would be no refund within the 30 day period. Please ensure you are comfortable with this policy prior to registering for our events. We do recommend travel insurance as a means to protect your investment, especially if you are travelling great distances to attend or are worried about illness. *Please note- retreat participants who cancel with more than 30 days notice that were sharing an accommodation space (i.e. a yurt or the loft) should be aware that others in their group will have increased costs to cover the cost of the accommodations if they are unable to find someone to replace them.

FAQ's

Read below for some common FAQ's that we receive and learn more about the resort. If you want to learn more about how our resort works and what amenities we have on site you can also visit our "How Things Work" page by clicking learn more below...

TV/ WiFi / Phone

“There is no wifi in nature, but we promise you will find a stronger connection.” We have no tv/phone or internet in any of our yurts. We also appreciate that sometimes you need to check in with others, so we do have high speed Starlink wi-fi in our common spaces at the Bee Hive, Yoga Yurt & Red Squirrel. The Glowbug cottage and Eagle's Nest loft have a Smart TV and WiFi connection.

Bedding, Robes & Towels

Bedding, towels, robes and kitchen linen are provided by us and included in the rate. Note: our towels are not to be used as a beach towel, please provide your own. You can rent beach packages from us, which includes beach towels, beach chairs, a sunshade and a soft cooler with ice packs.

Wood Stoves & Campfires

All yurts are heated with a wood stove, and firewood is provided. There is also a secondary heat source, an electric space heater. We are required to show our guests how to properly operate the wood stove (even if you are familiar with wood stoves) to ensure safe practices. The woodstove should only be used during cold weather temperatures. No cooking is to be done on the woodstoves. We also have outdoor Solo campfire pits available at the yurt sites for outdoor summer campfires, and we also have a large group campfire pit on site too. The campfire pit does have a cooking grill for those looking to cook over an open fire. We provide a small amount of firewood for the outdoor spaces.

Swimming

The lagoon on the property is brackish water (spring-fed from the South and ocean fed from the North). It can be used for swimming, but may be less than ideal in the hot summer weather, as we do get sea lettuce growth on the lake. In the summer months, the two adjacent ocean beaches (Clarence’s and the Lighthouse beach) are stunning, and some of the best beaches and ocean swimming on the Island.

Hot Tubs, Sauna & Thermal Therapy

There is a private hot tub at each accommodation (except Glow Bug Cottage). The hot tub is maintained daily by our staff during your stay. Depending on water quality, the hot tub may be down for short periods of time to adjust the water chemistry. Guests can help maintain the water quality to ensure that the hot tub doesn’t have to be off-line for significant periods of time during their stay. We recommend showering prior to bathing and limiting bathing sessions to shorter periods of time (30 minutes or less). Long bathing sessions tend to significantly alter water chemistry, which may result in your hot tub being off-line for longer periods of time. Our sauna is a shared sauna and is adjacent to the Eagle’s Nest Loft. To enjoy the sauna, it will need to be pre-warmed, which takes 20-30 minutes during colder winter months. We usually recommend pre-heating the sauna, having a hot tub cycle (20 minutes) and then heading to the sauna for a thermal experience. We are currently installing a cold water bucket in the sauna area to enhance your thermal experience. We do offer a booked sauna experience, which includes pre-warming the sauna for your booked time, aromatherapy to add to the sauna rocks, and sparkling water/fresh fruit to enjoy after your session. This can be booked at the time of your stay as an add-on charge.

Kitchens & Washrooms

The Eagle's Nest Loft & Glowbug Cottage area self contained units have have full bathroom and kitchen facilities. There are no washrooms, kitchens, or running water in the yurts. The yurts are luxury sleeping pods. There are mini-fridges and coffee stations in the yurt, and we provide water jugs to provide fresh drinking water in the yurt. The washrooms are just a short walk away from the yurt in “The Hive” commonspace. While the washrooms are shared, each washroom space is its own room (no stalls!) to ensure your privacy. There are two smaller water closets, one shower room, and one large family bathroom with a bathtub for bathing the kiddos. The kitchens are also in “The Hive.” There are two full kitchens there for the four yurts. Each kitchen is shared with two yurt spaces. Everything is labeled to avoid confusion. The kitchens are fully stocked with cookware, dishware, small appliances, and loads of cooking supplies to allow you to cook as little or as much as you’d like. We even provide basics like oil, sugar, spices, and tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. Please clean all dishes and kitchen spaces when leaving.

BBQ

A BBQ with propane is included at “The Hive.” There is also a BBQ at the Eagle’s Nest Loft and at the Glowbug Cottage. BBQ’s need to be cleaned after use.

Air Conditioning

All of our units and spaces have air conditioning for the warmer summer months

Hiking & Snowshoeing

We have hiking trails on our property, which in winter are excellent for snowshoeing. We provide snowshoes with all of our winter stays and have lots of different sizes to accommodate little ones right through to the young at heart.

Snowmoblles / ATV

Our on-site trails are for hiking and snowshoeing only. However, we can accommodate those wanting to travel to our property on snowmobile/ATV!

Kayaks / Stand-Up Paddling

Our kayaks and paddleboards are available for rentals or for tours on St. Peters Lake (our ocean lagoon right on the property). The lagoon is an incredibly special place, a designated Important Bird Area (IBA) by Nature Canada that is spring-fed at the southern end and opens out to the ocean on PEI’s North Shore. You can paddle to your own secluded white sand beach. It’s an amazing way to spend the day on the water and at the beach.

Wheelchair accessibility

None of our units are wheelchair accessible

Groups, Gatherings & Weddings

For groups wanting to book the entire resort, or all 4 yurt units for a special event, gathering or wedding please contact us for more information. We have options for exclusive access and packages which include exclusive access to the Hive and our Event yurt. There are separate cancellation policies for large groups.
