The “M” Word – Menopause Retreat
The "M" Word - Menopause Retreat
June 5-7, 2026
This retreat is incredibly close to my heart, and I’d love to personally invite you to join me.
As I move through my 40s and into my 50s, navigating perimenopause and menopause has been a season of change I didn’t fully expect. There have been moments of frustration and fatigue, but also deep curiosity, reflection, and growth. It’s made me realize how important it is that we, as women, talk openly about what we’re experiencing — without shame, without whispering, and with a whole lot of compassion (and humour)
Perimenopause: when your body turns into a mystery novel—why am I sweating, crying, wide awake at 3am, and furious at a spoon?
Menopause: same plot twist (if you can remember it), fewer periods, zero patience, and a portable personal summer that never ends.
I created this retreat because I wanted a space where we could come together honestly — to share our stories, our challenges, our wisdom, and our solutions. A place to feel supported, understood, and not alone. But just as importantly, it’s a chance to truly slow down… to rest, reset, and take care of ourselves in the way we so often care for everyone else.
Over two nights and three days, you’ll be fully nourished with delicious meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks, and guided through experiences designed to calm the nervous system and reconnect you with your body — including a sonic yin soundbath with movement, forest bathing, yoga, 9D breathwork, and workshops with inspiring women like Gineen Nichols, Sarah Gaudet and Charlene McFadden. There will also be plenty of time for fireside chats, meaningful conversations, laughter, and connection.
We’ll be nestled in nature, staying in beautiful, unique accommodations at Nature Space with private hot tubs, plus access to hot/cold therapy with saunas and cold plunges, walking trails, and even a meditation labyrinth. It’s truly a little sanctuary.
This is an intimate gathering with space for only 15 women, so it will feel personal, safe, and deeply connected — exactly how I want it to feel.
If this speaks to you, I would absolutely love for you to join me.

Gineen Nicholls
I grew up in a small town on Prince Edward Island, never imagining that one day health and wellness would become such a huge part of my life. I wasn’t always athletic, but as a teenager I discovered a love for aerobics and strength training—and by 16, I was already teaching my first step aerobics class. In the early 2000s, I moved to Vancouver, BC, where I became a certified Personal Trainer Specialist and worked as a Wellness Director, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer at Fitness World. Eventually, I returned home to PEI, continuing to teach and train, before stepping into entrepreneurship. In 2007, my husband and I opened a sports supplement store that later grew into a powerlifting facility and my own small group training studio. It felt like a dream come true. But in 2012, everything changed. My husband survived a near-fatal stock car racing accident, and caring for him while trying to run a business left me completely depleted. Within a year, I hit a wall of burnout. I was exhausted, gained 40 pounds in just a few months, my digestion was a mess, and I began experiencing severe hormonal and menopausal symptoms. I felt like a stranger in my own body—and nothing I tried seemed to work. The years that followed were filled with countless doctor visits and trial-and-error treatments, but no answers. It wasn’t until I began working with an incredible naturopath and diving deep into my own research on hormones, gut health, and chronic stress that things started to shift. Slowly, I began to heal. That healing changed everything—not only how I view health and fitness, but how I live my life. I realized that true wellness isn’t just about exercise and nutrition. It’s about stress, hormones, digestion, and the nervous system—all working together. My journey led me away from the fitness industry for several years, during which I retrained as a Rehabilitation Assistant and worked in healthcare, mainly in Community Stroke Services. When my husband and I eventually moved to Fredericton, NB, I felt a new calling. Women I spoke with kept saying, “You’re telling my story.” I knew then that my experiences weren’t just mine—they were meant to help others. Today, I’m a certified Women’s Holistic Hormone Health Practitioner through the Mind/Body/Food Institute (2023). My mission is to help midlife women, just like you, reclaim their energy, balance their hormones, and finally feel at home in their bodies again. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: healing takes time and work, but it’s absolutely possible. If I can do it, so can you. And I wouldn’t trade the way I feel today for anything.

Trevor Grant
Trevor Grant has been performing his magical SoundEscapes sound journeys here at Nature Space Resort since we opened. Trevor says "I have been fascinated by sound for as long as I can remember, be it the wind in the trees, a metal railing echoing in a great hall, a rock band in full flight or the most delicate tap of a cymbal, it all speaks to me. As a percussionist I get to explore and release all sorts of frequencies, from primal beats of a drum to the gentle sparkle of tiny bells, Adding the breath of wooden flutes creates a palette of sounds that allow for a full range of expression. For me, music is a multi-sensory experience, something that is not only heard, but felt. My hope for my SoundEscape sessions is for people to experience sound and music in a deeper more attentive way than usual and to bring attention to the important role our sonic environment can play in our daily lives."
