Have you ever wondered what happens inside a beehive?
Join local PEI beekeeper Jordan Dennis for a hands-on, honey-sweet adventure where you’ll learn all about the buzzing life of a honeybee colony! Discover the hive’s inner workings, meet the busy bees (safely, in a super-cool bee suit 🐝), and see just how these little pollinators make a big impact on PEI’s farms.
And yes… you get to taste the golden goodness yourself! Sample raw, local PEI honey and see why it’s the bee’s knees.
It’s going to be un-bee-lievably fun!
Family friendly for even the little bee-keepers (age 6 and up).

What to Expect

Hands-on bee adventure: Explore a working honeybee colony and learn about the roles of the queen, workers, and drones.

Up-close hive experience: Jordan will bring nucs (mini starter colonies) and show other cool happenings from the bee yard.

Bee suits provided: Safety first—and they’re super fun to wear! Great for a photo op!

Honey tasting: Sample a few varieties of raw, local PEI honey and taste the differences between honey types.

Fun & educational: Perfect for beginners, families, and honey enthusiasts alike.

90-minute guided tour and hands-on demonstration by local PEI beekeeper Jordan Dennis at Nature Space resort (the tour takes place on our Hive patio, not in Jordan’s bee yard for a more comfortable and controlled environment).

Bee suit, gloves and protective gear

Raw PEI honey tasting (minimum 3 types of honey to try)

Plenty of fun facts, laughs, and “awe” moments

Lots of chances to ask questions and get curious. Jordan loves to talk about the bees!

Photo opportunities while on tour
Tours may be cancelled due to insufficient participant numbers or if management determines the weather to be inclement. If the resort cancels the experience you will be provided with full refund.
