Lake Explorer
This isn’t about keeping up with the group or paddling as fast as you can.
It’s about noticing, exploring, and enjoying every moment on the water.
Seeing the world unfold around you. Experiencing moments that make you pause.
We’ll glide down a secret still-water creek, winding through a marsh surrounded by towering cattails. Red-winged blackbirds flit from stalk to stalk. Bullfrogs croak somewhere in the reeds. Maybe even a family of baby ducks paddles alongside. Every turn feels like a new discovery.
Eagles. Osprey. Herons. Kingfishers.
Maybe a muskrat.
Moments that make you lean in, look closer, and see the world in a way you didn’t expect.
Then we’ll wind through the quiet nooks and crannies of the lagoon, opening onto views of PEI’s magnificent parabolic dunes — the kind of landscape that makes you blink, breathe, and say, “Wait… this is Prince Edward Island?!
Magic.

The Real Magic? Your Guide.
Each tour is led by either Heather or Jarrod, the owners of Nature Space — and whichever one you get, you’re in exceptionally capable hands.
Heather is a veterinarian and ecologist who blends science, storytelling, and wild curiosity. You’ll see birds, fish, and landscapes through an entirely new lens — without it ever feeling like a lecture.
Jarrod is a former provincial oyster biologist and a world-class sea kayaker. He brings deep marine knowledge, serious paddling expertise, and a calm confidence on the water that makes everyone feel like a natural.
Different flavour. Same world-class experience.
There are lots of kayaking tours out there.
There are not lots of tours led by people with this depth of knowledge.
This is an experience where you get to see, hear, smell, touch, and even taste the world around you. You truly get to be a Lake Explorer!
This 1.5 hour tour explores this hidden gem in the Natural Capital of PEI
What to Expect:
Calm, protected waters on St. Peter’s Lake (an ocean lagoon with minimal wind exposure)

A relaxed 1.5-hour paddle, perfectly timed with the golden hour

Cancellation Policy
Kayak tours can be canceled 30 days prior to the tour for a full refund of your deposit, or 8-29 days for a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the tour are non-refundable and the entire cost of the tour is billed at that time to your credit card.
With respect to weather, we watch the forecasts closely and will be in communication if anything needs to change based on the weather. We will still go for a paddle in overcast conditions or with light showers/drizzle. If it’s heavy rain or heavy wind, we will cancel the tour. We typically make weather decisions ~24 hours prior to the tour, as the weather can change at the last minute. If we need to cancel due to weather, we will fully refund your tour deposit. If you choose not to attend based on weather that we deem to be safe/reasonable for the tour, you will be billed for the full cost of the tour.
If you do not show up or show up late after the tour has departed, you will be billed for the full value of the tour.
