Immerse yourself and your senses in our Coastal Treasures – A Walk Through Nature, History & Creativity, where we’ll slow down time and explore the local history, culture and ecology that shaped the St. Peter’s Harbour area.

This 3-hour experience begins at the St. Peter’s Harbour Historic Lighthouse, where you’ll meet Heather in the parking lot. From there, we’ll venture over the sand dunes, pausing at the top for a stunning view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the old harbour, and the picturesque lighthouse.

Next, we’ll stroll down onto the expansive white sand beach, letting the soothing sounds of the ocean calm our minds. Along the way, Heather will share fascinating stories, facts, and history about the area as we beachcomb for special treasures. These treasures will be collected and used to craft our very own driftwood wind chimes—a unique keepsake that will always bring you back to this magical place.

We’ll also explore the channel running into St. Peter’s Bay from the Gulf of St. Lawrence with views across to the National Park. Heather will share about the local ecology, as well as the rich history of fisheries and aquaculture in the area.

During the tour, we’ll take a moment to savour a hearty snack platter made from locally sourced products. You might even want to dip your toes in the water!

Finally, we’ll pause on the beach to create our one-of-a-kind wind chimes, all while taking in the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. 

This experience happens on a quiet beach and is an off-the-beaten path experience. There are no washroom facilities at this location. This is an easy ramble on a beautiful beach and is suitable to most individuals. There is a slight incline to get over the dunes at the beginning and end, but the rest of the experience is on a flat beach with lots of time to stop, rest and take in the ocean air!
