5-Senses Night Experience - See Less. Notice More.

Come explore your senses after dark in our signature night walk experience at Nature Space Resort.

This isn’t about being brave in the dark.

It’s about discovering what happens when you stop relying on your eyes and everything else sharpens.

At night, the forest changes.
Sounds carry differently.
Movement feels closer.
Your awareness shifts in ways that are subtle… and surprisingly powerful.

This is where the “oh wow” lives.

The Real Magic? Your Guide!

This experience is led by Heather, the co-owner of Nature Space,  veterinarian, ecologist, and expert interpreter of the natural world.

At night, she helps you understand not just what’s out there, but how you adapt to it.

How your senses shift.
How your awareness expands.
And why the forest feels completely different after dark.

Grounded. Safe. Fascinating.

Explore nature at night and learn how our bodies adapt to the night sky

This is a guided walk through the forest trail after dark moving at a slow, intentional pace.

We’ll gradually let our eyes adjust, and then begin to explore the environment using all five senses (and a couple of other ones you might not have even heard about!):

  • Hearing – the forest comes alive at night
  • Touch – navigating texture and space differently
  • Smell – damp earth, trees, salt air
  • Sight – learn about your night vision and how you see in the dark
  • Taste – whenever possible, we add in the surprising sense of taste after dark.

We provide red light and blue light flashlights (to explore biofluorescence!), but we try our best to navigate the woods using only our night vision for the best experience. You will have a chance to learn about the science of your senses and gain an appreciation for being in the woods after dark.

PEI is a perfect place to explore a Moonlit forest walk as the wildlife here are primarily small land mammals that do not pose any risk after dark.

This tour runs Fall, Winter and Spring and in the Winter months there’s an opportunity to explore the walk on snowshoes and to see the tracks in the snow left by these animals, including squirrel, raccoon, red fox, and snowshoe hare. If you’re lucky, you might even have an opportunity to see the flying squirrels that live on the property.

What's Included

  • 60-90 minute guided night walk with Heather, Nature Space Resort’s owner and expert guide
  • Guided activities and mindfulness exercises along the walk
